In late 2024, this group played our taproom as part of our Silver Lake Presents series, and because they launched right into their set with little fanfare, some of the folks milling around the taproom thought that perhaps it was an extended soundcheck. Slowly but surely, everyone realized that they’d not only started the show, but that the instrumental movements and ambient vocals were a part of their first song. This turned out to be their only song, an incredibly memorable and inventive 20+ minute piece that captivated the whole room.

The layering of sound and the sense of command that Blackpool performs with was one of the most artful and inventive things we’ve gotten to witness since we first started programming music, and when we thought about putting together a lineup of some of the most interesting and inventive bands in the region, they were at the top of that list—and our fans have been talking about that set for months now, too, asking when we were going to bring them back. Now we have an answer.
