ABOUT US
To create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive third space.
OUR MISSION
Co-Founders Sarah Real and Mike Dell’Aquila first discovered craft beer during their time at Penn State in the early 2000s. A love of the art and science of beer led them to take up homebrewing as well as traveling the world. After deciding to pursue a career in craft beer, their Brooklyn condo had their gas turned off for several years due to a code violation. Rather than giving up on their dream, Sarah started brewing on a hot plate, writing and revising her own recipes, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, they started working on a business plan that has now turned into the 7-barrel brewhouse and attached taproom that they opened in Downtown Pittsfield in 2023.
OUR JOURNEY
In addition to serving the beers that we make on-premises, we also serve coffee, tea, wine, cider, hard seltzers, non-alcoholic beverages, and baked goods to create a space where all are welcome. We know that in an increasingly fragmented world, enabling social connections in a safe and inclusive environment has become more important than ever, and we provide a gathering place where you and your loved ones can unburden yourselves from modern life.

WHO WE ARE
SARAH REAL
Owner & Head Brewster
-
After working as a consumer insights and media research expert for the last 17 years, Sarah decided to pursue her true passion for craft beer several years ago. Through classes taken at Bitter & Esters, an award-winning homebrew shop in Brooklyn, collaborating with commercial breweries through the Pink Boots Society, and completing the Concise Course in Brewing Technology at Siebel Institute as well taking beer industry-related courses at the University of Vermont, she spent several years preparing to make this transition. Today, she is answering the call for greater diversity, equity, and inclusion in the craft beer industry, not only as a Latina brewster and brewery owner, but also by leveraging her professional background to reach, educate, and serve underrepresented communities through her passion and craft.

He also serves as a contributing editor for our blog and is responsible for our Crafting Connections series in the taproom, along with all other events.
